Copenhagen Atelier was founded in 2009 by master tailor Frederik Nielsen, who trained under some of the finest craftsmen in both London's Savile Row and the ateliers of Milan. His vision was to bring this international expertise to Scandinavia while embracing the region's distinct aesthetic sensibility.

What began as a small workshop on Norrebrogade has grown into one of Denmark's most respected tailoring establishments. Our team has expanded to include seven skilled artisans, each bringing unique specializations from menswear to bridal couture.

We maintain the same principles that guided our founding: meticulous attention to detail, respect for traditional techniques, and an unwavering commitment to client satisfaction.

Our Process

Creating a bespoke garment involves multiple stages, each requiring precision and artistry. It begins with an in-depth consultation where we discuss your vision, take over thirty measurements, and guide you through fabric selections.

From there, we create a paper pattern unique to your body. This pattern becomes the foundation for your garment, adjusted through multiple fittings until the fit is perfect. On average, a bespoke suit requires three to four fittings over six to eight weeks.

Even after completion, we remain available for adjustments. Bodies change, and we believe your garments should adapt with you. Our relationship with clients often spans decades and multiple generations.
